Indonesian sticky soy and piquant chilli paste with zesty ginger

Nasi Goreng Paste recalls our backpacking food adventures in Yogyarkarta in Java, Indonesia and the amazing Nasi Goreng we ate at Beringharjo Pak Tedjo, a legendary stall that has been serving this dish since 1968! We use a sticky dark soy to give our Nasi Goreng Paste the quintessential sweetness of Javanese cooking, layer cooked with piquant chilli and zesty ginger for aroma and tropical heat.

EASY USES:

Stir Fry - Toss 2 tbsp per portion with rice/egg noodles and chicken/prawns
Marinade - Mix 1 tbsp with 1 tbsp orange juice; rub onto chicken or beef skewers
Stew - Add 3 tbsp with 6 tbsp coconut milk to stewing beef and slow cook
